What Makes A Good Event Photographer?
I love photographing events. An event photographer has to be ready for that unexpected shot that suddenly appears. There is no setting up the shot and there are no do-overs. What you see is what you get the moment it happens. That's what makes event photography so challenging and exhilarating at the same time. Event photographers are practically adrenaline junkies. We're always on the hunt for our next fix, our next shot.
It really takes a bit of intuition to get those perfect shots. Wayne Gretzky always said he was successful because he sent the puck to where his team mate was going to be when the puck arrived there. Event photography is not much different. The camera has to be pointing to where the action is about to take place. See? Intuition.
